CATable for Creative Workaholics and Curious Cats

CATable for Creative Workaholics and Curious Cats

Designer Ruan Hao and Lycs Architecture have collaborated to create the CATable a modern but whimsical table for creative workaholics and their curious feline companions. The design of CATable works with cat’s inquisitive nature to explore and loves to have small protective hiding spaces. The table features many nooks and cranny for kitties to hide and chill in.  The dimensions of the table is 78cm x 70cm x 150cm.

It’s a perfect table for those who works from home because we all know cats loves to investigate and be a part of everything that you do which includes the laptop and/or keyboard. This CATable will allow them to be close to you but not on the table using your space especially when you trying to do some intricate work. And yes from our experience, they certainly know the worst time to jump on your table!

What does Ruan Hao say about the CATable?:

People who live with cats always has those kind of experiences?

1. Putting away the cat from your lap top was like a sentimental ritual of temporary farewell.

2. A proper sized hole could be so irresistible to cats. Their curiosity would be greatly satisfied through repetitively exploring the unknown path behind the hole.
The design of CATable was a fusion of those experiences, as well a locus where the interaction occurs. It is a table for us, and a paradise for cats.

The CATable was exhibited at Milan University for Milan Design Week 2014. The conclusion to this post is we want one please!
