Kittyo is a new brand with an exciting and innovative product that is going to change our relationship with our cats. For those of us who don’t have the luxury of working from home or have to go away for work often, going out and leaving your cat at home can be quite upsetting, especially if it is still a kitten. Kittyo has been developed by Lee Miller so we can connect and have fun with our cats while we are out. Lee came up with the idea for Kittyo while he was pet sitting for a friend while she was away.
“It just hit me; there’s got to be a way to allow cat parents to interact with their cats while they’re at work or on the road traveling,” he said. “Cats are members of the family, so it’s hard for cat parents to simply say goodbye for long periods of time, especially for the 55% of Americans who have more than one cat.”
Combining technology and stylish design, Kittyo aims to give absent cat owners a chance to see their cats and interact with them using either an iOS or Android smartphone. We think it will not only be useful for when you have to go to work but also when you are away on vacation. The design is sleek and minimal, but with a hint of adorable branding which would sit perfectly in any living room.
Miller partnered with an edgy product development company in New York called ION Design to oversee the design and aesthetic of Kittyo.
“This is an exciting opportunity to design a really fun product that incorporates a lot of cutting-edge technology, including mobile connectivity,” Steven Bellofatto, ION co-founder and product development lead, said. “Lee Miller challenged the ION design team to come up with a distinctive and iconic product design that would look terrific in any home. It’s always great to partner with a company that has high design standards.”
