Best In Show – Knit Your Own Dog And Cat

Best In Show – Knit Your Own Dog And Cat

Sally Muir and Joanna Osborn have created Best In Show – knit-pattern books for you to knit your own dog and cat. Currently there are four Best In Show books available: dogs, cats, 25 more dogs, and knit your own zoo. They designed the animals to be as life like as they could. They are a perfect gift for dog, cat and animal lovers out there. They could be enjoyed both by pet owners and by people who love pets but cannot have any at the moment. There are 25 patterns in each book.

“We have both had dogs all our lives – between us we have owned eight Poodles, two Afghan Hounds, two mongrels, two Lurchers, one Dalmatian, one Whippet, one Spaniel and one Greyhound. We have also designed and made knitted things for almost as long, so it seemed like a good idea to combine the two and design knitted dogs.” explained Joanna and Sally.

Best In Show – Knit Your Own Dog And Cat

You don’t need to be an expert knitter to use the patterns; you only need to know how to knit, purl and loopy stitches to make the animals in the pattern book. You could also mix and match, knit your own mongrel made from a random selection of pedigree dog parts. Take the legs and tail of the Poodle and put them on the Labrador and, at a fraction of the price, you have knitted your own Labradoodle.
