Nyalan and Deshi – The Cutest Tour Guides In Japan

Nyalan and Deshi are the cutest tour guides in Japan. These two adorable cats are mascots for a travel company, Jalan, in Japan. The older cat is called “Nyalan” and Nya means meow in Japanese. How sweet! And his little apprentice kitty is called “Deshi”.

Jalan get Nyalan and Deshi to promote tourism and fun activities by showing what the locals in Japan do during each season. But instead of using people Jalan decided to feature adorable kitties instead. They promote many activities like seeing the flowers bloom, chilling out at the hot springs, the cherry blossom festival, children’s day and kite flying during new year.

It’s a clever strategy indeed, as Japanese people really adore cat products from the ubiquitous cat cafes to the cat island; everything that involves cats is definitely a sure fire success in Japan. Nyalan and Deshi have over 137k twitter followers and over 81k Facebook fans! We are certainly new fans. Check out Nyalan and Deshi Facebook page here. Visit Jalan for hotel bookings in Japan.
